Toy Chest or Bench Plans
Who doesn’t remember their first toy chest? Watching a child play is one of the greatest joys in life and especially with some of his or her favorite toys. Many parents wonder where to store all those toys when playtime is over. Here's a solution – build a toy chest that will store them all.
This little chest, which can hold a bunch of easy to retrieve toys, turns into a handy bench when the top is closed. The lid is controlled by a spring-tensioned support that prevents accidental slamming on little fingers. The toy chest can be built out of your choice of hardwoods and require just a small amount of hardware. The plans include step by step instructions along with colored illustrations to help you along. This project is short time wise and fun to build.
Help keep your child’s room clean and organized while giving them a bench to sit on by building a toy chest that doubles as a bench.
