A large table is the perfect gathering place for today’s open kitchens and great rooms, and you can build this one in a shop without any large machinery.
Here you will find a table that is made from white ash, a hardwood that’s beautiful, durable and affordable. The top floats on a base that’s built to last. Strong joinery between the legs and aprons is accomplished using an innovative and inexpensive commercial jig. Internal supporting rails are dovetailed to stiffen the structure, yet you can make and install them in minutes. This plan will also guide you on gluing the huge top together.
Build a dining table that will provide a place not only for eating but for many activities where a table is needed.
