When relaxing in your easy chair, it’s important to have a place to set cups, magazines, glasses, plates and so on. An end table is the perfect solution; it is out of the way yet right next to your favorite chair for your convenience.
Here's a quick project that yields an attractive piece to go beside a chair. After the table is built it can be stained or painted to match the furniture in the room it sits in. The legs are tapered at the bottom which makes them appear long and elegant. There is a bottom shelf area to store news papers, magazines and other reading material. Tools required for this project are minimal, a table saw with a dado set, chisels, band or sabre saw are all you need.
