Desk or mantle clocks make ideal Christmas presents, especially for that family member who already seems to have everything they could possibly need.

The only basic factors for a desk clock are that it must tell the time, and that it must be able to stand on its own base. No one ever said that it must be square, rectangular or any other shape. This is a plan for a clock with a star like design. The suggested wood used in this project is birch. The few tools required are jigsaw, sander and belt sander. Here is a creative project that makes a great gift.
